Well I won't be watching the Detroit/Dallas game Saturday. While I want Dallas to win, I can't actually watch their game and root for them. Movie night!

Would you take Marvin Harrison, Jr at #3 or #4 and then move back up to the mid first round to nab a promising QB? I would definitely do that.

I don't share your pessimism. Not saying it won't happen but because we played their division we have a lot of common opponents this year.

Non common opponents

NE: New Orleans, Las Vegas, Indy, Chargers, Pittsburgh, KC

Was: AZ, Chicago, Atlanta, Rams, SF, Seattle

Pittsburgh vs Seattle is a game we should be watching with interest next week.

Who we rooting for? Not a fan of either team. Man, this is going to be a weird-fan weekend.

If Pitt wins it increases NE SOS and lowers ours.

Go Terrible Towels.

I hate how bad we suck. Trying to keep track of all the ways we can finish the worst as possible lol.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

There's been various articles saying that over recent weeks. It's a good model, keyed on a successful player personnel setup. GM is the critical role to appoint. That has to be the first appointment ASAP after black monday.

I suppose it would make sense for Harris to hire someone from Ravens to mold Commanders into Ravens then..

Penix has had multiple injuries including knees. I’d take him in the 3rd or 4th. Same for Bo Nix.

Imo it’s

Caleb Williams
Drake Maye
Jayden Daniels

The rest are not in that tier.

Of course who the hell knows how any of these guys will end up in 5 years

Depending on where you look, it seems like the gap between Maye and Williams is closing.

Give me Maye, Daniels, Williams, Harrison Jr., Alt, or Fashanu, and I will be happy. Some picks will make me happier than others. But I would have 0 complaints coming out of the draft w/ any of these guys.

Also, if we don't go QB in round 1 and Penix is still available in round 2, I'm taking him.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

Williams has been the sure-fire top pick in this draft for a long time, and there's a very real chance a team tries to leapfrog the Commanders and trade up with the Bears and/or Cardinals in order to possibly select him, but Washington is potentially in prime position to take the cake.
