I am not necessarily hating on shanny. Im hating on the organization in general. I just want to win. I dont care who does it. Im not a gibbs fan im not a zorn fan or a shanny fan or even a rg3 fan. You know why - because one day any of them might be wearing other colors. I will be wearing b&g until i die and ill probably be buried in it. But to answer ur question - no. The saints are 1-4. I just want to win and good teams with good coaches fond a way to win no matter what the rankings say. My fantasy team however has been very happy with rg-3. Im not the doom and gloom guy okie. Im not bashing just to bash SS. I am very positive and keep the critiscism out of the game day threads because there is no place for it there really. My "post game thoughts" i consider realistic though. Win and i will show appreciation. It doesnt mean im a hater. When my kid does bad in school they aint getting a reward. Doesnt mean i hate them though. Doesnt mean im not rooting for them to do better next time.
Ok rants are done for the day.

Word. Fisher will solve that problem though with the plethora of picks in the next few years. But honestly that team has a lot of holes. The oline is pretty weak. No standout #1 WR. An aging franchise RB. Fisher has his work cut out for him. If he can be a winning coach this season, as in above .500, it's a pretty considerable achievement.

You forget that Fisher got to play the mediocre to average Jaguars and Texans four times a year? (with some exceptions for the Jaguars, usually when the Titans were bad)
James Cameron wouldn't waste James Cameron's time digging a guy like me out of the hole, unless I was 20 leagues under the sea

The Rams have talent. They should certainly be playoff contenders by Fisher's third year.

Yes...and no. From the five games we've seen our offense is top of the league when RG3 is the ball carrier on about half our rushing downs. That was pretty much the story in the first three games. The last two games we've gone more traditional, and the points/game regressed, though we still pulled out the win against Tampa. I thought our play-calling was more predictable against Atlanta. That draw play near the goal line for instance was pretty idiotic. Every team knows to key on RG3 now near the goal line. If you keep him back there with a RB in run formation the defense is likely to sniff it out most of the time, and as such we lost yardage on the play.

Admittedly, I've never thought Kyle was a quality OC and I've always said our play-calling gets predictable. It's been better with RG3 but again that goes back to him keeping the pigskin. As the season progresses we'll see if Mike/Kyle can put together series, quarters and games that put up points with the more traditional style, because after a concussion just 5 games in you have to bet they're going to limit RG3's exposure to hits.

...and the kid needs to just throw it away or get outta bounce. I love how hard he tries though...
Good game, we all know what was going to happen when RG3 went out. I said exatly what Smoot said in the gameday thread. We try to "protect" our playmaker and play him scared. Hes going to get hurt.

Alfred Morris is tough, but our Oline gives hime holes like Kansas to run through. Love to watch him run.

Defense was solid today, but not perfect. Good enough to win though, but our offense was out of synch. RG3 made several bad throws and on the 3rd and 1 near our endzone we called a zone read play where if RG3 keeps it, he runs close to the endzone if not in it. Im not sure why he was timid to run today, but we will miss him next week if hes gone.

Im coming away postive today because i now feel like we can beat anyone in this league if we are focused and 100%. Im excited for our divisional games.
Agree 100%.

80% of the Warpath predicted us to lose this week, and then write paragraphs of how the world is crumbling, and our coaching staff sucks, our Dline is weak, we are 0-5, we have a QB that runs to much, but now he doesnt run enough, I love kit kats, Garcon can't get open, Fred Davis is overrated, Morris is a scheme style runner only, Danny Smith missed 5 FG's this year, we need to CUT GANO NOW, and we need to CUT CUNDIFF NOW AND RESIGN GANO! Skins are the worse team ever, but we should win every game, and i predict a 8-8 season, but WHY ARE WE WINNING GAMES!? SUCK FOR LUCK 2! So glad we got Griffin because he's a MVP, and why WASTE A 6TH ROUND DRAFT PICK ON A RB FROM FA!?, Morris for RotY!

That's basically what it's like reading the Warpath on a daily basis. I wish there was a ignore option because then I would actually be able to have realistic conversations with a select few that are here..Smoot, Tripp, etc..

Oh, and everyone has Kyle's number on offense. It's the main reason why we score 30 points a game. Kyle doesn't even call plays. What really happens on scoring drives is RG3 writes plays in Polumbus's helmet with a sharpie since it's the only thing Polumbus is good for. Obviously, he doesn't block!!!
Well said.

What was Shanny's record starting off in Washington? I remember a few years ago when the Buc's went 10-6 and everyone praised the coaching, and wanted that coach in Washington..

Oh, about that.....

You should change your forum name to Goatstrodamus. Can you tell me who's going to win the Super Bowl this year so I can go ahead and live easy?

one question, how did he get the extra picks. one answer, he had a qb who he felt comfortable keeping. so regardless of every other point, fisher didn't spin his wheels trying to get a qb. instead he was comfortable enough that he could trade away a prime pick for future gains. the skins were not in that position...

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

In fairness, we kind of chose to put ourselves in that QB situation. That said the Rams don't have considerably more picks than we do.
