look to the patriot's ravens game. Baltimore just drove down the field with 2min against the Pats. and are kicking the winning fg

899 yds total offense. That's where the NFL is headed.

Not happy about the refs on Wilson's fumble recovery either. Touching the ground isn't down in the NFL ya jerks!
Yes. Sorry i didnt read your post clearly. Ks got flagged for being on the field though i thought? Not to many players technically.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

If we held teams to 25 points we would be 3-0 if we held them to 30 we would be 2-1. Just saying we don't need an elite d but one that does not leak quite so bad. If we didn't have RG III we would be getting destroyed.

Yup. Problem is someone still has to be the worst defense - whether they are all bad or all good. And rite now were making a strong case for it. At the end of the day its a game of points. Lol. Maybe rg3 and the offense will really step it up more when garcon comes back and we can win some of these shootouts. Is there any word on trent williams?

I speculate it is what he said to the ref while in the field, not for being on it, since the refs said game over. Ref caught feelings when he realized KS was right and flagged him. That's why KS said he had no balls and was a p*ssy I'm guessing

I hear those guys Brady and Flacco are pretty good. Also, they earned those plays. There were no touchdowns because of mental mistakes or freebies given to them. It's Welker, not Amendola.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

besides the no call on the pass interference, i think the refs were okay today.

our defense though, man... since jim's taken over, it's been bad. can we get blache or grilliams and our 4-3 back? please?

offense looked like it had an off day, but it still put up a ton of points. we're #1 in scoring, #2 in rushing, #5 overall (though baltimore wasn't included, they won't bump us off #1 in scoring). when's the last time that happened?

i can't believe this offense hasn't even hit stride yet. if the first half was like the second, maybe we'd have a W despite the D.

I also think the sample size is getting big enough to say that RG3 really knows what he's doing. It's weird not having to wish your team had a good QB, and it's weird that they can stink it up so royally for an entire half, have the D leave guys wide open all day, and still have a chance to pull it out.

so i'm actually not super mad about the loss, but i'm sorry trent got hurt, and i'm not sure how much better the D can get with it's current roster (which should still be better than what we're seeing on the field).

Totally agree with this. Trents health is major. So is garcon. If were gonna win these shootouts we need them both. Even though were 1-2 i will sleep better than normal because after three weeks we are number one in points scored. Its so weird to say that.

The refs were okay like being shot in the head is okay.

Yeah but he called them those things off the field for penalizing him and not the bengals. If he wasnt on the field no penalty. Anyway i think the game was over when that went down barring a small miracle.

Not only can I see them doing it, but I can also see a lot of the players like Rak and Fletcher talking about how great it will be going back to the 4-3 and how the 3-4 was okay but at the same time it wasn't right for them. Still I wonder what a 4-3 alignment would look like. Funny to think that Rak was an OLB in the 4-3 as well.

SAM - Orakpo
MLB - Fletcher
WLB - Riley

RDE - Kerrigan
DT - Cofield
DT - Bowen
LDE - Carriker

It's obvious though if they go back now that they don't have the linebackers to make the switch, however they're very deep up front with DT's and DE's.

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction

When there's so many things that seem to be wrong with the defense, who do you think is responsible? Haslett gets the blame for all of this because he's responsible for fixing the defensive mess. Who else has the power and experience to change things?

It's not like the defense is completely devoid of talent like some fans would like to believe- Josh Wilson, Kerrigan, Bowen, Cofield, Fletcher. Not to mention the potential that the younger defensive players have and have even shown. Don't tell me that a good defensive coordinator couldn't get way more out of this group than Haslett.

I would find another SAM and put Orakpo as a DE. Orakpo has no coverage skills to be a LB.

I agree with you on that. We have talent over there.
