I think that qualifies every one from the mid-west. Seriously ever mid-western I ever meet just goes on and on and on. Girl in my office I will seriously walk away from her and she is still talking. She picks up no social ques that you are tired of listening to her. We all say she tells stories in real time, so if the event she is telling you about took 4 hours it will take 4 hours for her to tell you the story. Growing up my little sister was a bit of carry on'er when telling a story. So if at dinner she was going on and on I would hold up my knife and point to the point of the knife, meaning to her get to the point. After all that I made a long winded post about long winded story tellers, how ironic. =)

But like I said, gray area. Because sometimes I prefer instead of lying to people, just withholding info from them can do the same thing. Keep things need to know, ya know?

I honestly love being thorough when I'm telling a story, or talking to someone. I feel like if I cut it short I'm half assing it. But that's not to say I'm long winded all the time, only when I feel it's appropriate. I have enough social cues to know when to wrap it up.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
Having to work all of next week and spending Thanksgiving alone, while my family is out of town. Ugh. And to make matters worse, we're understaffed and overbooked. Again. Hello overtime.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
People who don't wipe down equipment at the gym.
Seriously, people, this isn't your personal gym. The gym is also one of the most common places to pass disgusting viral infections and whatever else to other people. That's why they provide you with free f'n wipes to wipe the shit down. It's not just for show. So get off your lazy asses and wipe the f'n shit down. I feel like I'm going to go crazy for wiping down machines before and after I use them.

Yup! I mean I leave a huge sweat stain too but I don't leave it there for other people to clean up. It's common courtesy. Especially on the crunches machines.
