Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I would not draft Daniels at #4. Heisman trophy winners are notorious for being busts. There are a few exceptions but not many. If we are at #4 and want a QB then we need to trade up. Maybe package Allen with a number 1. If it were me and the top to QB's are taken, then I'm going LT or Harrison Jr

I’d be really happy with Maye or Williams I’d be really worried with the LSU kid…I think he is clearly in the Penix, JJ bracket of QB prospect. Mid first round. Of course only if there is agreement with HC GM and OC…you take your guy at 4-5.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Im fine with that but when do you take QB then? Sam Howell isn’t a QB1 so do you keep JB next year as the starter? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
We're absolutely drafting a QB. Prepare yourselves.

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
Take one later in the draft. You are aware we have 10 draft picks, right? I'd go with Brissett and let Howell and the draftee battle it out for second string. Not to mention, I haven't yet given up on Howell. Because Howell struggled the past several weeks automatically means he's not a QB1, huh? Maybe he isn't a starting QB, but I still believe that has yet to be determined.

Greg Zuerlein isn't a hero. But he's close.

Want to do a $100 bet? I get a little odds. 60/40.

I liked Howell and rooted for him like we all did and do but the last two weeks are eye opening. Maybe he’s just raw and needs more reps but man he doesn’t see the field well at all and he isn’t patient in the pocket. He also doesn’t see the short field well when guys are in the flat wide open. At the end of the day we know QB is still a need regardless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I'd be OK with any of these 3 scenarios but with some caveats:
1) We trade up to #1 but with a reasonable deal, not selling the house. Draft Williams @1. Trading for #2 would cost nigh on as much but for a worse risk:reward ratio so that's a no from me. Besides only way we get a trade partner for #1 or 2 is if the Bears or Patriots end up with the 3rd pick. Both highly likely to pick QB right now, and highly likely to be picks 1 & 2. 2) We stand pat at #3 or 4 and draft BPA; Harrison, Alt or Fashanu. Prefer this option, then draft a QB if right guy is there in 2nd or 3rd round. 3) Trade back and draft a QB bottom of 1st. Get a 1st round QB and still have ammo to fill our needs. Course, this all hinges on a good GM. We need to hit on 80-90% of our picks else we're same again next year. Plus we'd lose more of the fan base. |
