Re: 2024 Commanders Season Thread (General)
Ron did a good job at minimizing the drama in the locker room. Credit for that.
But the team he put together and the amount of winning they did was... undeniably bad. Got us a new owner, new GM, new coach, new roster, and new qb though. I guess in a way we owe him a debt of gratitude. Also the cap situation isn't bad, so at least he lost cheap. |

Agree with all this. And he’s a good a decent guy and we needed that in light of the shitweasels that were in leadership and ownership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes agree with this! He forced Snyder to realize he can NEVER win or garner fan support with his own team and ultimately his transgressions would come to light.

Holy shit Ron's drafts were just so awful.
He was in way over his head as a personnel guy. |

We should all be extremely thankful for the state of the franchise currently. Almost doesn't seem real considering how bad it was at one point. HTTC! |

Re: 2024 Commanders Season Thread (General)
Back to more relevant topics, interesting take from ESPN about trade deadline target. I'd be all for a trade to bring Kendall back:
Which player should they target? Dolphins cornerback Kendall Fuller. How does a second reunion with Fuller sound for Washington? The Commanders need help at corner; they rank 31st in the NFL in defensive open score against wide receivers (via ESPN's receiver scores). Benjamin St-Juste has given up 2.0 yards per coverage snap -- fifth most among corners with at least 100 coverage snaps this season, per NFL Next Gen Stats. With Daniels at the helm, Washington has no time to waste. It has a chance to make a real playoff run, and having a more palatable defense would really help. Fuller would help stabilize a weak position for Washington. -- Walder

I feel like this is more of a trap game than the past 2 weeks have been. Jayden half healthy or no jayden just worries me with this game. Don't have a good feeling lol. Fuckin bears we've had shit luck vs them recently too.

Re: 2024 Commanders Season Thread (General)
I wouldn't say it was a trap game as JD or no JD, the Bears are 4-2 and can't be viewed as an easy win, or even favoured. They are getting better, but their run D is weak. We need to run it down their throats and keep Williams off the field. We need possession and hopefully force a turnover or two. But I do hope JD is good to go; we don't want any nerves, and Mariota always seems hot and cold to me.

I just meant in the current climate, the way our season is going and magically they bounced back to a similar record etc.. not necessarily the team the bears just this whole situation and scenario you know? Got that eerie feel to me ugh.

Re: 2024 Commanders Season Thread (General)
We're getting zero respect for today's game. The entire panel on "The Other Pregame Show" via CBS Sports Network picked the Bears. Adam Schein, the show's host, said, "If Daniels were playing or not--even he was or wasn't 100%--I'd still pick the Bears."
I wanna kick the Bears in their nuts and then castrate 'em. |

This is non-news but I thought it's worth sharing since the comments about DQ came from Cowboys' star players.
