Rak is more valuable than you seem to be giving him credit for.

Losing a guy who's capable of double digit sacks hurts.

We're not doomed, but the D took a serious blow with these 2 injuries.

I heard on the radio that Carriker was done for the season but Orakpo was out this week.

hell, andre carter is capable of double digit sacks, and he's on the street. it hurts to lose orakpo, but he hasn't had double digit sacks since his rookie season

that is incorrect. multiple sources (including Mike Shanahan) reporting Orakpo out for the season.

He's pretty damn good, PFF has him 14th or 15th in the entire NFL. It's not just sacks, but total pressures.

Still they gotta make them compete, best man up.

Let's see who steps up. I would say those were areas we seemed to have good depth but our schedule just gets harder and harder.

Problem is Carter isn't a 3-4 LB, been down that road already with him.

agree. I want to see what this Jarvis Jenkins kid brings to the lineup and I personally think Jackson/Wilson will probably rotate.

Also Carter is coming off the knee injury last season. Rak is a big loss. Poop.

Re: Orakpo and Carriker Done for Season

Injuries happen in the NFL. It's unfortunate that Orakpo is done for the season. We all hope that he can come back next season at full strength. Rob Jackson has played in Orakpo's place before and stepped up admirably. Carriker is done too which gives Jarvis Jenkins the opportunity to start. Hopefully, the Redskins defense won't miss a beat with these two stepping in.
