They have a new GM from NE, I would think he dumps JJ Watt and other high priced vets before moving Watson. Then again, he could draft Zach Wilson or Fields and start from scratch.

Re: Around the NFL: Wildcard Week edition

I'd say it depends more on which coach takes over. Does he want 'his guy' or an he get the best out of Watson. Given the change of coach made little or no difference to Watson's level of play, I'd say you'd have to be a pretty bad coach if you can't get a good performance out of one of the most consistent QB's in recent years!

It also depends on what Watson wants. The Texans have no draft capital whatsoever and no salary cap space.

I could have sworn that he just signed a contract extension this off season , why would the trading team need to sign him to an extension?

Has anyone seen Kirk's stats from this yr? Not bad at all. Good for him

Yeah, you are right. He's under contract through 2025 after that extension.

I guess I thought he was still on his rookie contract.

Threw for 35 TDs, which is damn good (top 10), but also had 18 turnovers (13 INTs and 5 fumbles lost).

Sounds like a typical Kirk year. Did you see his team's record?

Re: Around the NFL: Wildcard Week edition

I’d sure like our chances a lot more this weekend if we still had Kirk

Re: Around the NFL: Wildcard Week edition

Kirk started slow and then had a record breaking second half.

Justin Jefferson is a flat out baller for them too...not to mention dalvin cook

I can’t believe Jefferson and tee Higgins went behind so many receivers in the draft...and the Eagles could have had both.

Agreed, and he's probably saying, I sure wish we had a defense like WFT.

If we had Kirk all season this would have been an 11 win team

When he was here he was saying, "I sure wish we had a defense like the Vikings."

In an alternate reality somewhere, Cousins is leading us to the SB this year...
