Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
2 years $4M with incentives that could make it as much as $7M. Probably impossible to reach incentives but it is what it is.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Is 2 million too much for a backup MLB? Serious question. I like Foster and am glad he's back but I want an upgrade from last year in the middle.
Then again if we can't resign Brown then I'll be very thankful he's back. WIith Brown, I still want to draft a MLB pretty high in the draft though. If we lose him we'll for sure need 1 pick there and possibly 2.

Re: Mason Foster has re-signed
Foster is a serviceable NFL starter. He is never going to be a stand out but he can run the defenseand get everybody where they need to be.

https://overthecap.com/position/inside-linebacker Josh Docston is getting more than Ryan Shazier... If we bring Brown back, with Foster as a starter, and Zach Vigil as a developmental/rotational guy (I think we tend to forget he played really well late in the season when we had lost any hope), ILB doesn't strike as one of our top needs... This defense needs more pressure up the middle.

A healthy Mason Foster is a solid starter in this league.
