Not defending Trump here at all, but if we are still in terrible shape like we are now come November, maybe postponing the election is not the most terrible decision. I know there is mail-in voting, but that is not the answer for the majority of people.
We will in all likelihood have a vaccine out to the masses by spring of 2021. Donald Trump would be President for 4 to 5 more months tops, if we voted in March / April. Maybe they could do something special due to the circumstances and he would leave office 30 days following the results of the election?

Problem is trump's motivation.
He wants schools open, state's open, no mask mandate, rallys and conventions ... but hes worried about COVID when it comes to elections? I think it was just a distraction to take away from the GDP news personally. Meh at this point. I feel like Ive seen it all at this point.
