The knock on him out of Tennessee, if reports were right, is he wanted too much control. That isn't going to fly here, or in most places nowadays. I think JJ may hire him, but the relationship will go south quickly and end in shambles. Don't trust Belichek's disciples

Go Bills, Texans, 49ers and Lions.

Realistically Bills/Chiefs is a tossup, Texans probably lose to Ravens, Packers lose to 49ers and Lions/Bucs is a tossup (slight edge to Detroit imo). Detroit just doesn't have the it factor for me - I keep thinking they are a dominant team and then they go out and lay a stinker that makes me lose confidence in them.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it's on ESPN that Ron Rivera says he wants to continue coaching and has already been talking to teams:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...-coach-even-dc

I know some of us wondered if he would keep going. I would think that Ron stands a good chance at getting hired as a DC, but probably not as head coach again....

He can't even build a LB room, and he was a NFL linebacker. It's insane that any team would hire him for any on field coaching position at this point. He offers 0 on-field.

Is the Rams game a stinker? Cuz LA was one of the hottest teams down the stretch and were underrated all year. Great coaches, scheme and players.. just flew under the radar and underperformed a lot this year. I had them winning that game and upsetting DET tbh.

I agree about the toss up tho, I think home field advantage will be big for them, again. God I hope we get to know what that means again soon.

I didn't say they play stinkers every week, just that every time I start to trust the Lions are an elite team they lay a stinker. I'm not convinced they can make it to the NFCCG, and if they do they'll have a tough time getting past the 49ers. I'm still rooting for them though.

Different job being a DC. Also, I am sure Ron gets the benefit of the doubt after 3 out of his 4 years as a HC here with the worst owner in football.

Times are changing , seems to be out with the Old and in with the new younger HC, OC and DC's.

I hear ya. I don't particularly care for them.. not exactly sure why either. I could take it or leave it with them winning. Rather root the rat KS.. more success he has the more I hope is pisses off he who shall not be named.

Couldn’t agree more. Our D got worse when JDR was fired. Any team hires Ron and they deserve every ounce of ineptitude that comes with him.

As far as on field, well what does he offer off field? Certainly has zero business making any personnel decisions. Ron should be extremely thankful that he made as much money as he did and sail off into the sunset.

I’m rooting for the Ravens all the way. I’ve been in CA a long long time, but will always root for my skins and any Maryland team.
