re: What Shows Are You Watching?

Just got caught up on the last two episodes of Friday Night Lights that I missed while I was away. Man that is just excellent television. Peter Berg is the man.

Does anyone else out there watch Friday Night Lights? I think it's such good TV. It's not a complex story like Lost, but it's just damn good, straightforward drama IMO.

never have

didn't like Lost though

I try to keep it simple nowadays and just watch whatever I like on demand.. cooking shows.. two and a half men, that's about it

I can't really be bothered to get into the ones that continue too much to make it unenjoyable if you miss an episode

Well, that's what the DVR is for. I watch(ed) Lost, 24, Friday Night Lights, The Office, Family Guy, Top Chef, How I Met Your Mother, Entourage, Hung, and Curb Your Enthusiasm to name a few, but I almost never watch any of them live. Thanks to DVR I never miss an episdoe. Just set that bad boy to "record all new episodes" and I'm golden.

I'm getting into AMC's "Mad Men." Really impressive shows on AMC.

How far along are you? I got into that show last year, and I think it's probably the best show on TV. The story lines and the acting are great; and I love how episodes don't wrap up nicely

Its a great show. They set the new season up to be fantastic.

As for the other AMC show, I think this last season of Breaking Bad (season 3) was some of the best TV I've ever seen. The acting and the writing were unbelievably good. The plot twists and character developments have been amazing. I can't believe it took so long but AMC confirmed that there will be a 4th season last week so it will be really interesting to see where they go with the story.

re: What Shows Are You Watching?

I pretty much do the same thing though, except more with OnDemand than DVR since our only DVR unit has only a single tuner and I just chip in a bit on the bill

either that or I download the ep's

Damn, along the lines of you asking people how they find the time for video games I don't get how you find the time for all this TV. LOL

But again, it's all about how you prioritize your leisure time.

The only shows I watch week in and week out are Parks and Rec, The Office, 30 Rock, and Real Time with Bill Maher. Other than that I catch shows here and there in re-runs.

Have you watched Community? The humor is along the same lines as the other 3 NBC shows on Thursdays. I think it's pretty damn funny.
