Re: Pro-gun article
(CNN) -- A New Jersey father of a 4-year-old boy who fatally shot a 6-year-old neighbor in the head was arrested Monday night for having unsecured weapons accessible to children, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Anthony Senatore, 33, was charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of children and a disorderly person's offense for enabling access by minors to a loaded firearm, Prosecutor Jim McClain said. Good. I appreciate irresponsible gun owners being taken to task. |

Re: Pro-gun article
Meanwhile, in peaceful, gun-control England:
A man - believed to be a soldier wearing a Help for Heroes t-shirt - was hacked to death in the street today. Armed police called to the scene near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich, London, shot and injured two suspects. Woolwich and Greenwich MP Nick Raynsford said both were in a serious condition in hospital. One witness, identified as James, said he and his partner saw two black men attack the young man with kitchen knives like he was "a piece of meat". "They were hacking at this poor guy, literally," he told LBC. "They were hacking at him, chopping him, cutting him. Fighting back tears, he added: "These two guys were crazed. They were just animals. "They dragged him from the pavement and dumped his body in the middle of the road and left his body there." He said that after the "horrendous" attack, the two men, in their 20s, just stood around, waving knives and a gun, even asking people nearby to take pictures of them "as if they wanted to be on TV or something". "They were oblivious to anything, they were more worried about having their photo taken, running up and down the road," he said. |

Re: Pro-gun article
What if stricter gun control loses(not saves) even one more life?
New York City sees surge in gun violence edit: Actually a bit of a misleading title, as total shootings this year are lower to this point then last year at this time. But they had dropped last year before gun control was enacted as well(http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/...icle-1.1229273), so I don't think numbers alone mean anything in terms of effectiveness. Re: Pro-gun article
I remember when we had archery in gym class. Its a wonder no one was ever shot with the lack of supervision we had. It was like here are some bow and arrows you guy have fun now. One day a rabbit was in the field and everyone started shooting arrows at the poor rabbit. |

Re: Pro-gun article
This is just peachy:
Police selling guns from buyback program ST. CHARLES, Ill., May 31 (UPI) -- A police department in the Chicago suburbs said some of the guns obtained from a buyback program will be sold to a pair of licensed dealers. St. Charles Police Chief James Lamkin said about 20 firearms obtained through a gun buyback program and seized by courts will be sold to the dealers, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday. "There's value in these guns," Lamkin said. "They're not illegal guns. Quite honestly, it's a bottom line for us." |
