Re: Dwayne Haskins

Having a good tight end and a running back that is a good short route receiver would be a young inexperienced quarterback's best friend. We don't have those do we? By good tight end I want a good route runner with sure hands than can block also.

Yes we have the WRs to get open underneath with Terri and Trey. TE is suspect and RB should be better with Guice and now Love here.

Good to know about Guice. I didn't see him play in college.

Re: Dwayne Haskins

For anyone interested, here is Dwaynes passing chart from 2018. Very good 10-20+ yards downfield

Oh, dude. Acquaint yourself. He's easily the player I'm most excited about and the single biggest reason the Skins have hope. This guy will buy Haskins the time to develop while the offense leans on him. He's a physically imposing runner with the speed to keep defenses honest.

What are the numbers in the shading, ESPN's QBR or something PFF puts out?

Re: Dwayne Haskins

Another thing I have noticed is Haskins recognizes coverage and what the defense is doing Pre snap often, checks in to another play more than most College QBs

Will Guice be able to play by the season start? We got him as a steal last year in the draft and I'm ready to see him run and open the field up

And this is why I believe he should be put in there right away. He's not the normal 21 year. He's already an advanced player at the line and probably a quick learner. Watching Case or Colt isn't getting him better at sliding protections and reading NFL defenses.

It is my understanding (I'll look for the source in a bit), that Haskins receives audibles from the sideline at Ohio State. Not saying he can't do it in the PRO, but it is misleading to think this is or is not a strength by watching the game.

All I want to see is a truly open competition. He gets the job if and when he earns it.
