R.I.P. thread
Thank God it didn’t say Bob Dylan. That is what I thought for a second.

RIP Anne Rice. I was 13 when I first read Vampire Lestat and was in awe. A very underrated author.

His wife (child's mother) died 2 years ago and he passed today. Brutal for his family. Man, life sucks real hard sometimes. Only 44.

I just watched half that special on Christmas An absolute legend, I was a football fan because of his enthusiasm for the game….his knowledge. John Madden loved the RFK and those Joe Gibbs skins teams

R.I.P. thread
To Chico’s point - He sure did. He thought Washington football in the 80s was how it was meant to be played. So sad about this. I definitely learned more from him than any other sportscaster. He was insightful and made the game so much more accessible. And his affection for football was infectious. Madden and Summerall was the gold standard and no one has come close to that tandem in my opinion.

NFL Lost another Good Guy !
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...player-dies-77 ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Dan Reeves, who appeared in nine Super Bowls as a player, assistant coach and head coach, died at his home in Atlanta on Saturday. He was 77. Reeves is one of only 10 coaches to have won at least 190 regular-season games in his career, and he guided two teams -- the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons -- to the Super Bowl and was the head coach of the New York Giants for four seasons. With a 201-174-2 NFL coaching record overall, including the postseason, he is one of only nine coaches in NFL history with 200 total wins. His Super Bowl appearances as an individual have been topped only by quarterback Tom Brady and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Re: R.I.P. thread
I worked with a guy back in the early 90s, he was a huge Meatloaf fan and he found out where he lived and showed up to his house asking for an autograph (he lived somewhere in CT at the time). Instead of sending this crazy stalker fan away, Meatloaf welcomed him in and they ended up becoming friends. From all accounts he was a super nice guy and very down to earth, he even coached little league baseball.
