Re: Panthers Postgame sadness

Darby was targeted 5 times yesterday
He allowed 1 catch for 3 yards

Fuller 4 targets - 2 Receptions -1 yard.

Big props to these CBs, they have really stepped it up this yr.

Keep Darby

It’s just too easy to second guess as a fan, because you don’t have to make a decision or deal with the ramifications, you can just sit on your couch and say Ron should have done something different. I’m pretty’s sure Ron and Scott know that Dwayne sucks, but without Alex any choice is a really bad choice. And remember, this was a situation they inherited. And finally...too much coffee this morning....I blame Jabril Peppers for hurting Kyle Allen because I know he leg whipped him on purpose.

It was so extremely apparent that Dwayne was shitting the bed that I do not think it is second guessing. What changes if Heineken comes in and shits the bed? Nothing. You go from terrible to terrible. The only way was up - that is how bad Haskins was playing.
It should have been done at the half, If not after the first quarter. It literally could not have gotten worse.

Darby has been such a bargain this year. I've been very surprised by a lot of negative opinions here about him. He's gonna get a nice paycheck in the offseason. Hopefully by us. Go Noles!

I Can't recall a time where he was really burned deep in coverage, Fuller has been a few times but I don't think Darby has

I think he did have 1 really bad game where he got beat deep, but that is gonna happen to 99% of CB's. Overall, he has far exceeded my expectations, and has been worth every penny.

Agree about Darby - we need to resign him. I don't think it will be too costly for the team to resign him.

Darby has 100% been beat deep this season. He's had a couple stinkers.

But overall, his play has been solid. I wouldn't give him a big deal, but if he wanted a 3 year term with solid starter money that would work for me.

One name I haven't really noticed out there is Fabian Moreau. Is he challenging Moreland for the slot job? We should check out his # of snaps this year, I wonder how much PT he's getting.

Oh I agree, but my point was some people would have complained no matter what. Heck some people are saying Dwayne was cut because he’s black. That’s why I was saying Ron can’t win no matter what he does. Always a critic out there.

Yeah, I’m new so I don’t really want to go there because I don’t know how the board handles that....but I don’t think that had anything to do with Dwayne flaming out here.

I don't care what color skin you are in whatever profession you are in, if you don't produce you are shown the door. In this case he didn't produce, broke the Covid rules twice and endangered his head coach who is recovering from Cancer.

If somebody said Dwayne was cut for being black and not for performance and work ethic, my immediate reaction would be:

And then at least 5-10 of us would jump in and ridicule them until the horse was long past dead.
