Doesn't Allen have issues catching the ball and muffed a punt return in the last game of the preseason?

He played football on the west coast. SF has a soft spot for anyone who played on the west coast. Lol

One other thing unrelated and not directed at just you Chief. Im not saying I would have gone for two at the end because if we didn’t get it we would kill Ron also BUT im not buying the reason that they were gassed. It was like a 90 second drive and it is one play. If the offense is gassed to the point that one play is too much does it make sense to play for OT??
I didn't look it up. I was just going by what the announcer said. I thought he said it used to be a delay of game penalty, but isn't anymore. Were we penalized five yards on that play?

One muff and he’s in the doghouse. Gibson does it over and he’s playing. Regardless, they need to make something happen with punt returns, also let Hudson start instead of Barton. 2 changes I would make immediately, I would seriously have Mason Brooks try out at T. With his aggressiveness he would be perfect.

I was talking about Sam not you. You asked if he was from the west coast.

Went to Coney Island once but I was older, but I grew up on the jersey shore so im not making any road trips to see other boardwalks.

Anyway don’t know much about Kaz but he definitely showed flashes in pre season

I know he is. Lol.
To be exact Waynesville. Just outside Asheville. Which is an amazing little city.
Asheville not Waynesville. Waynesville is a small town but surrounded by some absolutely beautiful country.

Just for the record wasn’t really giving you shit, it just seems like a lot of people you are high on are west coasters. Makes sense you live there and hear about them more than we do. Anyway was just a dumb joke that somehow spawned a conversation about Waynesville NC.

Well, in that even a FG would have done the trick. And in that situation, yes I'd rather have have 4 chances to make 10 yards several times than gamble everything on one play after an exciting but rocky drive where it's not like they were imposing their will on every play.

And, Matty, I have a hard time getting how Ron's "offense was gassed" excuse is weak ? How would have losing the game on a play he knew his players didn't have a lot of chance to convert been smart ?

"-Coach that 2 pt conv looked awful, with 3 Dlinemen in the backfield in the blink of a eye, and Howell fumbling the ball back 20 yards, hindsight is 20/20 but could you walk us through the decision to go for 2 in that situation ?
-Well, I knew they were exhausted after that drive, but I'm a tough as nail coach and I never take into account anything my players say or feel, so I went for 2 cuz I wanted to!"

Evaluating if your players are in a position to make the play should indeed be part of the decision process IMO.

(Love the bolded part )

One of my friends, who was watching the game with me, immediately said, "Go for two" right after Dotson's TD. I quickly replied, "Hell no!" Then I thought about it for a few seconds and agreed with my friend. We had some momentum and I had no issues going for the win in regulation.

With that said, I had no problem with Rivera going for the tie and take the game into OT. If it was me, I would've gone for the two-point conversion and the win in regulation.
