Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
I re watched django the other day. I forget how great it was.
I'd say Tarantinos best films are: 1 pulp fiction 2 Django 3 kill bill 4 reservoir dogs 5 inglorious bastards 6 Jackie brown

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
i'm a django fan, not like an all time favorite, but it was solid. a bit slow at times, but not bad.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
yup.
I am sure it is a good movie to a lot of folks me personally not my cup of tea. I am not a fan of any movie set in that era of time. So it had to over come that for me as well. I am more a Coen brothers fan then a Quentin fan now a days. Shoot I even liked True Grit.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
i didn't think django was all that amazing either. i've actually seen the originals too, so i don't know if that changed anything while I watched the remake.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Django (1966) - IMDb
1966. one of MANY spaghetti westerns. (fistful of dollar, once upon a time in the west, good bad ugly django etc). despite the award, it's not far off of the 1960's westerns. I guess a lot of people just don't remember them or haven't seen them. I think once upon a time in the west is a much better movie overall. Last edited by That Guy; 04-22-2013 at 08:22 PM. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Add me to the Django "meh" crowd... pacing was a huge issue for me. Django was Tarantino's first film without his regular editor (who died a few years back, while hiking). I think it showed. Loved Waltz's performance, however.
