Everything that makes Forbes good showed up on that play. He's small, but because he reads and recognizes so quickly he broke on that play before the RT could get to him and kick him out. So he arrived at the spot ahead of schedule, reducing his chance of getting smashed and injured, and he gave it everything he had on the hit and it turned out to be enough. 4th down. He makes up for his size by studying, reading, reacting, and getting to the spot first.

The little dude likes contact, period. Love the attitude and the heart. Watching him cover Devonta Smith is going to be like two stick figures fight. Will be fun.

I think it is smart to get players that in a pinch they can switch positions on the o-line. Most of the players are going to be primarily in one position, but I think it is smart to have players that can help you in an emergency.

Re: Ravens v Commanders game thread

ravens (mainly NOT their starters) got 5 qb hits and 3 sacks vs washington which got... 1 qb hit in return.

Definitely not domination on the OL. I think we are going to have problems there and it's just going to be what it's going to be. howell isn't a statue, so they can work around it a bit.

Basically 4 new starters on the O-line along with a completely new offense. I expect that it will take some time before they gel together. Will be some growing pains for sure, but I was encouraged by what I saw against BAL. Something to build on...

5 qb hits and three sacks isn’t exactly encouraging. The o line is going to be an issue. Like that guy said though Sam at least can use his legs. Going to have to until we get some new guys up front. I still think we will be better than last year everywhere else. Defense. Run game. Play calling. Quarterback. Secondary. WR’s. TE. But O line is an issue Chief. We got one more year of building left than it’s on.

A lot of film review said the run blocking has been the weakest of the o line performance, too.

How many of those happened against the O-line we are expecting to start the season?

The two sacks Howell took were squarely on him for holding the ball too long.

I believe that. The run blocking didn't look nearly as good as the pass blocking in the Ravens game.

EB offense seems like a perfect fit for Fromm.

Re: Ravens v Commanders game thread

I’m so confused, why was there not a Bengals game thread, and just tacked on to the end of the ravens thread??. Also I guess I’ve lost my freaking mind, since when has their only been three preseason games? So we have a open weekend before the regular season starts with no games? WTF

Remember? Took away a preseason game and added a regular season game.
