This just left me speechless:
Onlookers jeer as man is beaten, stripped and robbed in Baltimore - CNN.com Watch the video. Pretty despicable. I hope they catch them all and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. One question, though, how would this be covered if all the African-Americans in this video were white and the sole white person (the victim) was black?

I never even heard about this before you mentioned it. But (and I'm only answering this because you asked, it's not my intent to start racial discussions) if the guy beaten/stripped/robbed had been black and the criminals white, no doubt it'd probably be a national story by now, and Jesse Jackson would probably be booking his plane ticket to Baltimore.
EDIT: Scud is on point, both on moving this to the proper forum and in regards to the story.

It's things like these that really make me wonder about humanity and contemplate just how close to barbarians we are. In Tulsa, white guys go on a vengeful killing spree targeting folks just b/c of the skin color. In Baltimore, we have a complete breakdown of civilized behaviour that is proudly displayed by its participants. The level of "You just dont' get it" is both mind boggling and dispiriting.
I know good and evil exist and it is our lot. It's just depressing sometimes. (And, yes, 12th, I am talking just to hear myself talk).

My buddy lives in Canton and we go out on occasions. Even in Canton never do I walk alone in B-more.
If the east coast has a arm pit it is Baltimore. It is such a low class shit hole, honestly.

Quite frankly, I am almost regret asking the question I stated in the original post. Race has been in the news so much lately and not in a good way. I swear, I wish we could just somehow get past it as a nation.
