Brandon Ore kicked off team

Beamer did not offer details for Ore's removal, but according to people with knowledge of the situation, the coaching staff simply grew impatient with Ore's lackadaisical attitude and lack of commitment to the team. The Hokies waited for Ore to mature for more than two seasons and gave up after he failed to reach what once seemed to be enormous potential.
ESPN - Ore kicked off team; sources say Hokies coaches grew weary of player's attitude - College FootballThis is pretty big, the Hokies were looking pretty good, Tyrod, Sean Glennon, and Brandon Ore, now they will probably use some freshman.

tyrod will be great. I never really liked ore, though. and never really saw what people saw in him.... you'd see flashes from time to time, and I think he was an underachiever, but I think its weird they would boot him from the team for it.

He was stellar 2 years ago, but fell off the map because of injuries last season. I guess that there was more to it than that though. Its a damn shame.

I never liked Ore either. I always thought he ran soft as hell.

One thing Tech never has to worry about having a shortage of is running back depth. So long Brandon!

Does anybody think that some team, say the Raiders, brings this guy in to camp to see if he can change his ways, and maybe give him a roster spot.

Re: Brandon Ore kicked off team

Anyone think he might try for the supplemental draft? I don't know if he will but we'll see. And I thought he was pretty good about two years ago, but last season wasn't impressive at all. He's a good player but I'm sure that the Hokies will find a good replacement.

He ran soft, but got the yards he needed.

Re: Brandon Ore kicked off team

ore was overrated, he really wasnt any good last season. he shouldnt be missed too much, we have lots of running backs and just pulled in ryan williams a 4 star top 50 player in the nation, 2 in virginia, running back
