Re: Sweat traded to the Bears, Young to the 49ers
I'd agree they are related, living in the same town and all, just not one in the same lol

Definitely would rather have kept him. I do understand the trade though.

Re: Sweat traded to the Bears, Young to the 49ers
How many did he have when he left here? Probably a case of better coaching staff better results, but a big contract helps. This is why it is always difficult to rate our own players when the coaching is so awful.. Would have been nice to be able to keep him, added conditional picks based on his performance would also have been good

IN 6 Games with SF
CY has 2 SACKS.... He is one of the biggest bust at that position in history

Re: Sweat traded to the Bears, Young to the 49ers
I think since the offseason, Sweat was a favorite among the coaching staff, and was likely going to be kept if the team had been successful. Since the team laid a turd, it was prudent to trade him and give the new regime more draft ammo for any move they'd like to make.

Re: Sweat traded to the Bears, Young to the 49ers
Those are 1st round pick worthy, dumb trade. Should have kept him instead of creating another hole.

This is true but a 2nd isn't bad. It'll be a high 2nd too.
