Re: NFL Week 13
Anyway that game sucked. Most boring game ever. Poor Buffalo. BB was like im running this entire game and you cant stop shit. That is a humiliating way to lose.

I was in the camp of "Belichick made Brady more that the opposite"... I think the one thing the last 2 years have proven is everybody picking a side on that argument was wrong. It was just a matter of 2 GOATs meeting each other...

For example. Brady goes to a stacked Bucs offense that was rated 3rd in the league behind Jamies Winston's 30 ints. They also brought in AB, Fournette, and Gronk to add to it. Add that to the #6 defense in the NFL and it's a Super Bowl team in the making with or without Tom Brady. It's not like Brady took a below average offense and turned it into high octane. He simply made it better. On the other hand. Look at what BB has done for the Patriots. Dude has them in 1st place with a rookie QB, and winning games with his QB throwing THREE fucking passes the entire game. There were two games early this year the Pats should have won so they should easily be 11-2. If I have a choice between BB or Brady to start a team. It's not even close. BB will bring more to the team overall than Brady.

Yup. Nobody made anybody. When you have the greatest coach and the greatest quarterback for 20 years you win several Superbowls. The end. |

NFL Week 13
Quote:
40 td’s, 12 int’s, 4,600 yards and 66 percent completions. Oh at age 44. How many coaches get a quarterback that plays at that level for 20 years? Give BB that same team, minus Brady and you think they win the Superbowl? Maybe. Maybe not. There were plenty of years Brady got it done in New England without a ton of weapons. It is a combination of the greatest coach and greatest quarterback. You remove either from the equation and it isn’t the greatest dynasty. Last edited by punch it in; 12-07-2021 at 09:44 AM. |

MNF was discussing it last night - can't remember if it was the Peyton/Eli broadcast or the regular broadcast. But the jist was - BB loves to play matchups. He schemes as much as anybody to get the right matchups - whether it's on the d-line, lb's or back end he is always looking for the slightest advantage. I think that's an underrated aspect of his scheming that is a big reason why he's above so many other coaches. Probably also a factor in why his assistant coaches don't have much success when they leave NE - I don't think there are many that prepare on BB's level.

Re: NFL Week 13
Brady just won a Super Bowl for a team that hasn't been good since Gruden left...

Re: NFL Week 13
To me the BB vs TB debate is dumb and pointless. How about they're both great.

Texans release 2017 2R LB Zach Cunningham for tardy/team issues. Lots of dead money.
Raiders are signing former Skins LB Will Compton. Good for him. |

Re: NFL Week 13
After he retires bet we're gonna hear some crazy story about some bet he made that he couldn't win a game calling under 5 passes or some shit.
Mac could've been throwing the ball - just kept it to short passes since he ain't the gunslinger Allen is.

I was listening to some show, and they mentioned that the weather, especially the wind, was bad enough that when Mac threw like the first or second pass it floated so bad BB shut it down for the day. Still crazy that you wouldn’t even mix in a short screen or something? Would totally believe the bet thing though. |

Re: NFL Week 13
I suspect they were quite content to pass if they felt it necessary and safe (given the conditions) but decided that they were dictating the game so much why bother take the chance. To be fair, the Bills don't really have a run game, so if you can defend the pass, what's left? Why force passes in that weather with an opponent that wasn't running it down their throats.
