Redskins vs Rams predictions

Coming off a strong week 1 the Redskins must be careful to avoid the dreaded "letdown". The Rams took the Lions down to the wire last week and showed that while they may not be the most talented bunch, Jeff Fisher has them playing hard.

Sam Bradford had a good preseason and while his numbers looked good in week 1, he still lacks weapons and is playing behind a beat up offensive line. I like the Skins to keep it rolling this week to move to 2-0. RGIII and company will prove to be too much to handle and the Skins D will get after Bradford all day long.

Redskins 31
Rams 13

Second week in a dome, Rams defense will be tougher than NO. Skins will win another close game.

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

On paper its a win right? Score will be alot closer because we will not surprise a Jeff Fisher team offensively like we did the Nawlins. Jackson kills us regularly and Bradford was sharp last week, but our advantage will be the D-Line vs their Oline this weekend. We win the game cause we win the turnover battle 2 to 1 and will run the ball more effectively than last weekend. Close through the first half, pull away the second half.

Skins 27
Rams 21

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

This one proves no fluke:

42-14, Cousins comes in as clean up qb with 6 minutes to go in the 4th. Skins offense finds the endzone on 4 of its first 5 drives, and doesn't punt until late 3rd quarter.

Morris starts, but Shanny being Shanny plays Helu heavy, and Helu looks like Stephen Jackson.

On the Defense, Skins fans are thinking shutout till 8 minutes left in the 4th when Jackson pulls a Garcon and streaks past our D for the first TD, their young cb picks off Cousins with 3 min to go, and makes it 42-14.

Or we hit the trap and lose and everyone is ticked.

skins win, i don't think it'll be by 30 or whatnot though. it's hard to score 40 back to back.

Pretty much agree with this. See no reason to stop now. The Rams offense is nowhere near the Saints offense and I don't think their D can stop us Fisher or not.
Skins - 44 Rams - 10 HTTR!!!

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

Yup. We avoid the trap. The Rams' offense just doesn't match-up. Their O-Line can't handle our front seven. Jackson makes some yards initially, but doesn't break 90 for the day. Bradford spends a lot of time on the ground.

Better D slows us down initially but, leading from the start, we roll on and wear them down, breaking it open in the 3rd Quarter. Bradford is not Brees and no last minute heroics. Skins have it iced with 5:00 minutes to go.

D turns it up: 6 sacks, 2 INT's. Offense scores some points - Skins break 30 points twice in a row and RGIII has his second 300 yard day and another TD pass - and his first INT.

31-13 Skins.

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

I think the Redskins avoid the trap, probably don't score 30+ again, but win comfortably.

23-12.

Skins 38
Rams 16

Score's so low because we'll run the ball a lot more than in NO since we'll be comfortably ahead.

Bradford will burn our secondary ONCE for a long TD pass. Brees did once too. We should expect it once a game. Otherwise a few FGs for the Rams, at least one set up by a longsnapping miscue from our new guy trying to get acclimated.

Moss will score a TD this week. RGIII will RUN for his first TD. Our D will have a sack-fumble on Bradford.

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

I think this time around we show the rams why we are better. It'll be close until the 4th imo.

Skins 28
Rams 17

Griffin 2tds and 1 rushing td

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

Redskins sack Sam Bradford at least six times (they lost one of their starting tackles last week and kinda suck along the line anyway). Kerrigan gets 2, Orakpo gets 1.

Redskins win with defense and a conservative grind it out ground game, mixing RG3 in on options. 20 - 13

Re: Redskins vs Rams predictions

I hope that the Redskins can take away the dink and dunk. I'm SURE they know the Skins are going to go apeshit with sacks if they try anything deeper than that.

One person I forgot to mention last week who called a great game was Fassel. Was so refreshing to see he didn't blitz ALL THE DAMN TIME for once.
