Arenas to miss 3 months with surgery
Ouch, I didn't see this coming. Let's hope the boys can continue to play at a high level in his stead. Man, injuries are ruining every sport that I like.

Now's the time for everyone else to show they can be competitive without him and then add him to the mix for the spring. This could ultimately make them a better team.

Re: Arenas to miss 3 months with surgery
It could work out OK, Antonio Daniels will replace Gilbert and he's the kind of PG that looks to pass a bit more than Gilbert does. He could have a positive impact on Butler and Jamison.
And I know Haywood has been hurt, but this seems like the perfect time for the Wiz to get Blatche and Haywood on the court at the same time and just go with a bigger lineup. I think they'll be aight.

They need to go one game at a time and try and stay above .500 If they can then they can sneak into the playoffs and make some noise. They are pretty thin now though. One AD injury from Nick Young starting and I don't know that he is anywhere near ready to play significant miutes.

Wow I didn't see this one coming, I didn't even know he got hurt.
I still think the Wizards have a shot though, from what I've seen (I have only seen 3 games) Jamison and Butler are putting up 20+ a peice at least. Or the Wizards could start to collapse like last year and ruin a great season. |
