This is the Democrats base, party of non-religious, coastal elites.
I agree with this and they need to get back to their blue collar roots among leadership. They also need to do a much better job of making better worker policies even though they do better on it than the republicans.

I for the life of me can't figure out why republicans always get a free pass on the economy when they always f it up royally but dems have to do a better job of explaining how their economic plans are better. Simple things like giving time to unions at the convention, working class muslims etc go a long way.

As for non religious I think that is an advantage. I have never met a leader of organized religion that wasn't sleazy or corrupt. My brother is a guest pastor at his baptist church in Suffolk. He was telling my sister to steal some railroad ties to sell after hurricane Helene. Here I was the agnostic telling him how amoral stealing is.

trump won by talking hate and racism as his followers do and following his Nazi instincts

I’m reading that Gen Z and Latinos went for Trump hard. Makes zero fucking sense. Hope minorities are happy when the mass deportations begin, they could also try to denaturalize people. Have fun with that.

Trump has no intention to carry out the mass deportations, imho. Like the wall, it’s just a ruse to drum up support among those easily manipulated by nativism. By some estimates, 40% of agricultural workers in the US are undocumented. Mass deportations would cause a disruption to the industry’s workforce that would bankrupt farms and food processing plants from coast to coast; we’d no longer be talking inflation, we’d be talking empty shelves. Trump understands this and doesn’t intend on doing it. He’s going to feign an attempt at deportation, there will be an immediate challenge in the courts, and instead of fighting them, he’ll blame liberals for getting in the way. In doing so, he’ll not only avoid criticism for failing to deliver on a BS campaign promise, he’ll actually solidify the support of those who fell for it in the first place.

Again, the Dems just don't comprehend how "woke" policies and actions (some executed by business and academia but perceived as supported by Dems) are despised by many minorities.

Religious/non religious the splits were big…tho it in as it explains the Hispanic vote, More religious

And I mentioned before trump won 18-29…he didnt. He won men (still huge) in a 28 point swing +13 and loss women -18 down from -32 in that block. But those margins were huge in his victory, he cut that figure in half overall

I hope you’re right. I fear he’s going to go balls to the wall now that he has a mandate and will be out for revenge.

The country is more towards the right , even minorities and Dems don’t understand that. This election could be a permanent realignment and the Dems might not win at the presidential level for quite a while.

Gotcha yeah I agree I think that religion did play a factor especially when dems kept ignoring what latinos said was most important issue, the economy. Also agree about the young men that is huge. It reminds me of when Obama was first president to really utilize twitter to engage a younger audience, Trump did the same with podcasts. Harris did some but not enough and not the right ones. She definitely needed to engage with the podcasts geared to young men more.

BTW when did young men become such whiny pussies afraid of everything? It is so fucking embarrassing

I think both can be true. Trump is smart enough to not upset the agricultural apple cart, but even if he does it is easy enough to provide TPS and target immigrants involved in other aspects of the economy. I will see deportation will be a huge price tag and definitely not worth it economically. If people are upset now about providing housing to immigrants so they are not homeless and on the streets wait till they see the costs for seats on jets for millions of undocumented immigrants so we can send them to tropical beaches on tax payer dimes just so they arrive right back in the country a few months later.
