The Adam Peters Thread
https://twitter.com/NickiJhabvala/st...ton-commanders
It's go time. We have an ownership group/GM that just gets it. It's probably only the 2nd time that warrants real excitement, we have had in the last 30 years. RG3 in 2012 and now. But this is actually sustainable because shitfuck is gone.

Super pumped about getting Peters. This is the type of guy we need to be relevant again. Love his experience, winning, and the fact that he scouted talent and acted as a gm. Perfect hire to start this important offseason.

Good listen - John Keim mixes it up with the ESPN 49ers reporter talking about what makes a successful GM-HC relationship. Really interesting tidbit on Bobby Slowik that could work in his favor - Slowik's success as an offensive coordinator can be traced back to spending time in defensive meetings really learning how the defense works. Big reason why Kyle Shanahan is such a good offensive playcaller too - he used to sneak into defensive meetings in TB with Monte Kiffin/co. trying to soak up as much as possible.

Re: The Adam Peters Thread
Commanders had the best season in the NFCE. Adam Peters and the No. 2 pick for the win. And a new HC TBA.

Re: The Adam Peters Thread
Interesting that Peters mentioned that there were "a ton of great people in the building that just need leadership" and felt like the organization was not a tear down..

Re: The Adam Peters Thread
Watching the Adam Peters presser and comparing it to the Ron Rivera presser there's some noticeable differences.
The main one that jumps out at me is how uncomfortable Dan Snyder looks. Also noticed Adam calls Josh by his first name right off the bat - that was a Snyder peev IIRC. I know we go through this every time we hire a HC but this time feels different. Obviously putting the entire organization in the hands of one man was a bad move. But the key difference this time - Adam Peters had his choice of where he wanted to go and he chose here. If Snyder was in charge he would've declined an interview most likely.
