Mike Anderson

So that hypocrite owner out in Denver says they want to keep Portis but "restructuring contracts in the middle of a current agreement is not how we do business". So that's why Portis will probably be wearing the B & G next year. Meanwhile, he wants to "restructure" Mike Anderson's contract and give him a pay cut. Not surprisingly, Anderson wants to be released now

So what I'm wondering is should we go after Anderson as well? Maybe trade Betts for a draft pick?

Betts won't get us much and probably not someone with the experience and potential he has. I wouldn't be surprised that if we get Portis, that we hang Betts out there.

We should send him to denver so he can run for 1500yds, and don't think he won't, then we can see what a back really look's like when used properly.

You mean 150 yards, Offiss? It's hard to gain much ground on the bench holding one of the various injuries you have.

The whole Ladell Betts thing irritates me. Thinking back, everyone said that Betts was a 4th rounder at best, and that he was a big reach in the 2nd.

He seemed to run well against the Jets in the first game last year, but I wonder who made the push to draft him so early? Was that Spurrier's call? Do you really think OBC had his eye on a little known RB from Iowa?

Now, Betts seems like damaged goods. I have a hunch that no team will part with ANY draft picks so they can get their hands on Ladell Betts.

I'd love to get Mike Anderson in here though. If that goes through, get ready to hear about the 'Bronc-skins'.

I know, but they weren't serious injuries and his forarm was a prob. because he tried coming back to soon, he was never hurt in 4 years of college, I hope to say that sometimes you can be just a little bit unlucky, let's face it every back we had last year was hurt for some time, there might be a cooralation between blocking schemes or lack there of and injured RB's, until I see him run for a different coach in a rational system I will be a bett's believer.

There has also been rumors of his worth ethic being a problem, or should I say lack of.
