The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
Actually, sadly, it's usually never too soon with this franchise.
Figure here we can talk about all players, not just QB. If you want to talk individual QB traits, we still have the other QB specific thread available. This is for more general discussions. Assuming we draft top 10, this would be the order I would currently draft guys. 1. QB - Justin Fields 2. QB - Trevor Lawrence 3. OT - Penei Sewell 4. QB - Zach Wilson 5. LB - Micah Parsons 6. WR - Ja'Marr Chase 7. CB - Patrick Surtain II 8. CB - Caleb Farley 9. TE - Kyle Pitts 10. OT - Samuel Cosmi

ESPN currently projects us to pick 6th. Ja'Marr Chase and McLaurin would be filthy.

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
Who knows where they'll pick. Could be anywhere from 3 - 19, but more than likely in the top 10. I would prefer they go offense, but I'd be happy with any of these dudes if they are available at pick #___.
Whoever grades out the highest on their board. Justin Fields Micah Parsons Penei Sewell Patrick Surtain II Kyle Pitts Wyatt Davis Caleb Farley I would also take Ja'Marr Chase or Jaylen Waddle, but I'm hoping they address WR in free agency with someone like Allen Robinson or JuJu Smith-Schuster. I can get excited about a WR corps that is comprised of McLaurin, Smith-Schuster, C. Sims, and S. Sims Jr. |

Matthew Stafford? Really? Not explicitly stated, but intimates we'd give up a draft pick for him. I'd venture it could be Alex Smith pt 2. I certainly wouldn't give up a 1st rounder that could bring in someone like Fields, Lance or Wilson. |

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
If our draft position is not capable of taking the guy Rivera wants, that's what we might be looking at. I'd like our long term future at the position settled too but I'd rather do it without spending extra draft picks. Also how is Stafford a journeyman qb?

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
I'd be fine rolling with Stafford for a year or 2. Add a Sewell or Chase type stud on offense and add Stafford, we would instantly be a lot better next year. Doesn't even include FA or the rest of our picks.
Do not force the QB pick, if the talent doesn't match the pick.

Re: The Too Soon 2021 NFL Draft Thread
Junior wasn't even on the team last year. He has no credibility regarding what anyone said or didn't say about Haskins. Some of you look for "drama".
