Around the NFL Week 8
Already halfway through
Trades happening all over. DJAX is now on the block per reports. Would you take him back?

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
Intriguing. I was really bummed when he left. Still has great speed and hands but we couldn’t assume he’d last long; I wouldn’t unless one of our WRs is headed to IR.

I think I would take him back for the 6 or 7.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
Why not get DJax back? We're hurting at WR, he's better than anyone we have, he already knows our system, and I think he'd provide a spark for our offense.
And now, here's the Big Reason: We are in 1st place and we're trying to get to the playoffs this season. We need to add some veteran talent to plug holes versus hoarding draft picks. We need to think and act like winners and go get what we need, if we can, to win our division and possibly more. |

So do we need a WR? Absolutely...but Im certainly not sending a 4th or earlier for a 10 game rental. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
I think a 3rd for DJax would be ok. My thinking is that both PRich and DJax are similar - injuries, speed, etc. DJax liked being a Redskin I think, and if he and PRich could feed off each other both might take a step up, and give us a nice tandem of speed outside when both are healthy.

DT Damon Harrison from Giants to Lions.

I'm sure Jay Gruden would agree with me since his job is probably on the line. Doug Williams? Maybe not so much. |

IMO, for a 3rd round pick there a lot better players available.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
Maybe, and it might be a little high, but you get a WR who knows our system, knows our coach's tendencies, and compliments another WR on the team in skills and styles. You bring that guy in if you can, versus a guy who might have talent, but not mesh, or take the whole season to get on the same page with a qb who already is having to rotate through WR's like a child at a puppy store. And you are paying about 5M for the rest of the season, and 10M next season.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
Djax has an out in his deal after this yr, so really we would be trading for 7 games and playoffs.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
Unless as part of the trade we firmed up his contract for the next year or two. You don't want to go crazy on the deal, but he would look good back in the burgundy and gold.

Re: Around the NFL Week 8
I’m not giving up a 3rd for DJ. A 5th sounds good though.
