SS-
Agree with your take on how we should have helped him in this game. Disagree with the pick though. I was not impressed with him when i watched him in college. Just my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
But the pick wasn't for us to use him long-term, it was for us to trade him 2 or 3 years down the road and potentially get a high 1st or 2nd round pick. I can't argue with that logic.

I really wonder if the thought process wasn't more the fact Cousins came from a pro style college offense and RG3 didn't. In case RG3 struggled they could hopefully insert Cousins and get production until RG3 was up to speed. As it turned out RG3 was better then advertised. |

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
To clarify, I loved that they drafted a QB. Probably would have preferred Foles over Cousins, but he wasn't available. And I don't have anything against Cousins. But I knew during the Senior Bowl that they had (mainly Mike) fallen in love with Cousins and so I was prepared for us to take him, even with RG3.

All I care about right now is Griffins status.

Maybe we need to bring back Zorn for the sliding drill.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Posted this on the other thread.
Our defense did outstanding today all things considered. Time of possession: Atlanta- 36:50 Washington- 23:10 Third Down Conversions Atlanta- 9-17 Washington- 1-9 This loss is ALL on the offense. Dropped passes. Failed executions on 3rd down, inaccurate throws and not understanding when to slide or throw away the ball. Offensive line did a good job as well. I put more of this loss on the skills players than anybody else. Also, a big FU to Cundiff.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Kirk Cousins had a 97 QB rating for a half in his first NFL game (coming off the bench cold too), and THIS is what we are bitching about?
Kirk played better than RGIII today.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Qb rating? Looks like a number, not a W.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts
Atlanta is a better team than we are. We can complain about certain things but bottom line is they're a better team and the better team won. But we must cut Cundiff tonight and get some kickers in here tomorrow.

Exactly, with or without RG3 we weren't winning this game today.
