Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
First off, I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about police/SWAT team protocol... But it seems like shooting a caged dog and an otherwise harmless Corgi seems absolutely ridiculous. If the dude's got the pit running around barking, snarling or otherwise a risk to the team's life, it seems rather obvious you're going to protect your own life. But a caged dog and in front of kids!? Give me a break. The guy does have drugs on him, but he's no drug lord, like I think they expected him to be. I feel bad when the guy starts crying about them shooting his dogs and the part where they shot the dog and the dog starts crying, so they just blow it away (shot it 3 more times) killed me. I mean is this REALLY the SWAT tactics they teach nowadays?

Re: Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
i'm not certain that the dog was in a cage. the guy asks the officer "why did you shoot my dog" ? he then says, about his dog, "he was prolly comming to play with you". that suggests that the dog was not in a cage and was moving towards a swat member.

P.S. have you ever seen a Corgi? Their bites might hurt, but they definitely aren't a threat to your life.

Re: Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
Corgis are little yappers and would have a hard time hurting somebody, especially in SWAT gear, so it's just ridiculous. Cop won't face anything real which is disgusting.

Just so you guys know, they don't show the actual killing of the dogs, you hear the gunshots, the dogs crying, some more gunshots and then its over.

You don't really see anything. All that happens is you hear shots fired and by the time the camera is in the door everything is pretty much finished.

Re: Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
Been trying to find an explanation for shooting the dogs like that but I suppose because they're cops, they don't have to answer questions.

Re: Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
Someone posted it on facebook a couple days ago. Of course this happened out in the heartlands, I'd be surprised if it even made it on the local news out there.

Re: Missouri Cops Raid House... Shoots Dogs with Children Present
idk, if i'm a cop and am about to raid a house with my gun drawn i know my adrenalin(sp) is gonna be pumpin pretty hard. when i bust into that house i'm not sure what i'll find or what i'll have to face. a dog, even if it's small and just nipping at my ankles, could be a hinderance. what if i have to give chase after someone or get into a physical altercation with someone, i don't need a dog of any size bitting me while i'm trying to control a suspect.
i'm not trying to defend the cops but i'm not 100% convinced they did anything wrong.
