Why was the Bears game rescored?
When I went to bed last night, the Bears defense was credited with 2 DTDs. This morning, they have 3 DTDs. I didn't see the game, so I have no idea what happened (not that I'm complaining). Does anyone know? Thanks!

Re: Why was the Bears game rescored?
It's gotta be wrong.
Kyle Orton threw 2 TDs, and Matt Forte ran for 1. Orton would have had 3 TDs, but Desmond Clark fumbled the ball into the end-zone, and it was recovered by Chicago. That makes 4 offensive TDs. The other 2 TDs came from a blocked punt, and a botched punt return. 6 TDs x 7 = 42. The Bears also had 2 FGs to make up the rest of the points and get them to 48.

Re: Why was the Bears game rescored?
Thanks - the Clark fumble must be it. If nobody advanced it into the endzone, it's not a rushing or receiving TD, so I guess they "gave" it to DTD. We'll see if it holds up. With it, I have a 42 point lead going against Cutler and Welker. Hopefully it won't matter...

Re: Why was the Bears game rescored?
Are you sure it wasn't rescored from 3 defensive TDs down to 2? One of my fantasy leagues is through Yahoo, and last night they had Chigaco having 3 defensive TDs, good for 26 fantasy points. Today they adjusted it down to 2 defensive TDs, 20 fantasy points. Both defensive touchdowns came on punts- one was blocked and taken back for a TD, the other was a fumbled return, taken back for a TD. Here's a link to the box score...

Re: Why was the Bears game rescored?
I'm positive that I went to bed with 96 points and woke up with 102.
They just re-rescored it back to 96.

Re: Why was the Bears game rescored?
OK, I think I figured out what happened. If anyone cares:
Last night (24 pts): 41 PA, 439 YDS, 2 DTD (17), 4 Int, DFR, 2 SACK This morning (30 pts): 41 PA, 439 YDS, 3 DTD (17), 4 Int, DFR, 2 SACK Now (22 pts): 41 PA, 439 YDS, 2 DTD (17), 4 Int, 2 SACK Initially CBS Sportsline fantasy scored Clark's fumble as a defensive fumble recovery by Chicago. Then they realized, hey, if it's a fumble recovery, then it's a DTD. Then they realized, hey, it's not a defensive fumble recovery unless the other team establishes possession, and then fumbles back to the first team (who is now on defense). If you've read this far, there are some comments posted here about it: Fantasy Football : FantasyNews.CBSSports.com Basically, Sportsline sucks.
