Any NHL fans here?
I recently bought NHL 06 for the PS2 after i watched a hockey game and i thought it looked interesting. I'm pretty new to the game, and i was wondering if there are any NHL fans out there that can help me understand the game. I've played several games, and i have yet to score a goal, and the opponent repeatedly scores on me.

I'm not a fan of watching the NHL but i like the games.
The key to scoring is passing. Try attacking one side of the rink and then pass across and get in a quick slapshot. it takes time for the defenders to react and if your pass and shot are quick, you can score lots of goals. |

Re: Any NHL fans here?
I'm a fairly new NHL fan, but I have watched a ton of hockey this year and especially during these playoffs. I've never played the game on PS2, so I dont know specifics about it, but as a whole jamf is right, the key is passing. Especially if you get on the power play, make sure you're passing it all over the place because thats the only way having the one man advantage will work.

Re: Any NHL fans here?
Bring the puck up the ice on one of the wings and start around the back of the goal, just as you get close pass it across the goal mouth to a player attacking the net from the other wing. Be sure to set the lines for "crashing the net" mode and you should score some goals. Don't kill yourself either, set it on an easy setting until you get the hang of it.

Re: Any NHL fans here?
I used to like hockey until they locked out last season. I have boycotted all hockey including video games.
