Re: Marty Hurney Thread
Hope they lose every game lol. Ron is getting fired in year three or four. Terrible hire... When they start losing, watch Snyder get involved. This will then lead to Rivera leaving or getting fired. He will never get a hc job if he get's axed again.

Re: Marty Hurney Thread
I saw speculation from one media member, don’t remember who, that Ron had made some indication about 2 GMs. If Kyle Smith stays on, and Hurney is here for 2-3 just to show him the ropes of the other aspects of being a GM outside of talent evaluation, I love it. If Hurney becomes the de facto talent evaluator and Kyle Smith leaves, I hate it.

We won't know much about how it's going before a couple of years, and with RR showing signs of turning this franchise around in year 1, I'll trust him on this one until I have a reason not to.

Re: Marty Hurney Thread
I'm fine with it. Of course it will be interesting to see how the dominoes fall now with Kyle Smith. Does he remain the VP of player personnel? Does he get an assistant GM title?

Re: Marty Hurney Thread
Yup, I think the title bump is due and should be a strong consideration with a weak GM hire.

Re: Marty Hurney Thread
I pray that he’s here to mentor Smith and nothing else. I hope Kyle is ok with it or we are royally fucked, because this would be like trading a Ferrari for a Yugo.

Kyle Smith to either the Rams or 49ers. This was brought up by Chris Russel's article. I could see that. He leaves after the draft. Hey we have the Ravens lol. JK.

Notable Hurney draft picks:
Julius Peppers Thomas Davis DeAngelo Williams Ryan Kalil Cam Newton Luke Kuechly Josh Norman DJ Moore Brian Burns Derrick Brown CMAC That's a pretty good list, yeah he has some duds but all GM's do.

Re: Marty Hurney Thread
Traditionally they hit on their 1st rounders. That's important.
