IRL Football
I know the fringes of football forum has been closed, but I figured offseason could be a good time to bond over our common passion in a slightly unusual way: how about sharing some of what football is in our real lives ?
Obviously "traditional" fan pics are welcomed, if you have a nice memory to share with it (meeting a player, coach, attending to a memorable game etc...). But since I don't think adult amateur football is a huge thing in the US, I'd also be interested in knowing if any of you are involved in any way shape or form in a local football team ? Like do we have a High School team's secretary-treasurer on this board ? A Middle School coach ? A ref at any level ? Or do you guys regularly go support your local high school team ? I'm sure that would also create some nice pics and stories to share ! I watched the movie The Express yesterday night and Remember the Titans tonight, got me wanting to know more about every day Football in the US, what it is in your real lives. In exchange, I'll share some pics of one of my first game as a ref in France, last month (I "graduated" as a white capped ref after 4 years of officiating), this was a U19 game:
