***2010-2011 College Hoops Thread***
Starting off this thread with a WOW to G'town. Hoyas controlled most of the game against Mizzou (shot over 70% in the first half), but the Tigers came back and led by 6 with a minute to go. Chris Wright sends it into OT with 0.3 left on the clock. Jason Clark ices the game with a few treys in OT. Austin Freeman was unconscious tonight. Beating the #8 team in basically an away game will do wonders for conference preparation.
(Mods- Can you edit the thread title to separate "CollegeHoops"? Thanks!) |

Huge win for the Hoyas tonight. Really hoping they can do some damage this year.

Me too. Big East is stacked, as always this year. Pitt and (suddenly) the young Huskies out of UConn are very strong.

I'm a big Terps fan and they have a young team with talent but can't shoot free throws to save their lives. They played Pitt well but fizzled out at the end (and then went on to lose to Illinois). I think they'll make the tourney but will prob be one and done.

lololol...Anybody see the shot of Krzyzewski after the turnover on the final possesion last night? Dude was livid which gives me the warm and fuzzies inside (along with multiple dank beers).
Effing nice win Hokies against No. 1 and the original Axis of Evil

My Gators let one get away against KY yesterday, but we've won 15 of our last 18 and are 11-3 in the SEC. I think we're a 3 seed right. Can't wait for the madness to begin.

Re: ***2010-2011 College Hoops Thread***
The amount of college basketball on ESPN during the last month and a half has been ridiculous. We're talking 4 games a day in prime time on ESPN 1 and 2 with re-airs of classic college games on ESPN Classic, and of course ESPNU is going to show college basketball.
I mean it's nice that theres plenty of games as it gives you a better chance to see your team but it's getting to the point where you see matchups like random CAL State vs Northwestern Sacremento East Community College in a gym that gets outmatched by most high school gyms. Would seriously appreciate NHL games being aired on the ESPEN. In the meantime Smoot please do something about this college basketball overload.

Can we talk about the Mason Nation. Ranked #25 now with the longest win streak in the country!

My alma mater, very proud to be ranked. How many times we gonna hear this these coming weeks "whos this year George Mason?"...pretty cool to be remembered as David.

That said, these Gators are really coming together at the right time. They're as hot as any team right now. 4 of the 5 starters are upperclassmen (Sophomore Kenny Boynton being the only exception). That's a big deal.
